How long will my session last?

I typically spend between 1-2 hours shooting, with time for breaks if needed. I will spend the first 10-15 minutes or so chatting with you and your children so I can introduce myself and we can ease into your shoot.

As for newborn shoots you can generally expect it to last anywhere from 2-3 hours. This gives us lots of time for feedings and the unpredictability of newborns. Please plan accordingly.

What can I expect?

Getting ready for your family shoot can be stressful! The best advice I can give is to come to your shoot without any expectations on how your children “should” behave and refrain from “prepping” your child before the shoot on how they are expected to behave. Instead talk to them before hand on how this is going to be a fun experience and “Melissa” (that’s me!) is going to be there to take pictures of everyone having fun. Please know that I am very patient with children and love to see their personalities shine through which can only happen if they are allowed to be themselves. Your job as parents and caregivers is to just be yourselves and trust in me and my expertise to guide you through your shoot and document you and your family, just.the.way.you.are.

Once your newborn shoot is scheduled I will send you an information package with further details on preparing for you newborn shoot. All newborn shoots take place in my studio located in Tillsonburg. As I have an abundance of props that I use for my newborn shoots it is just too difficult and time consuming to pack this all up for every newborn shoot.

How do I place my order?

Simply Said Photography has an All Inclusive pricing structure meaning that there is no need to place an order. If you book a full session with me you will receive up to 40 high resolution images from your session. Please contact me for my complete price list.

What is your typical turn around time?

Your order will be ready within 3-4 weeks of your session date. Occasionally depending on the season, edit times may vary.   If you place a print order you can expect to receive your product within 7-10 business days.
